As a person, I would describe myself as somewhat of a leader. At work I lead people pretty well, and outside of work people tend to follow me. As a writer, I would say I am a terrible one. I really don’t like writing. I chose to take a writing class first to get it out of the way, and learn how to write better. As a student, I am a normal one. I go to class and do my homework, just like every other normal student. In society some roles I play are husband, brother, and son. I am a husband to my beautiful wife. I am a brother to my 2 younger brothers, who look up to me. I am the first born son to my parents.

Fact: “The G7, meanwhile, voted to provide $22.2 million to help Amazon-basin nations fight the fires.”

Opinion: “All that is ominous enough without the assistance of the phenomenally shortsighted presidents of two of the most critical nations in the equation — the United States and Brazil.”

Claim: “Within a few decades … permafrost could be as big a source of greenhouse gases as China, the world’s largest emitter, is today.”

My article was about melting ice in various places around the world and the amazon rain forest, and how it effects our planet. When I read this article I was blown away at first of how bad all all this is to our planet, and most of it I believed if not all of it. Then I reread it and remembered that this is an opinion article and someone is trying to persuade me into thinking how they are thinking. I totally believe in climate change and that it is not good for our planet. I do think things need to change and fast before it is too late. There were also somethings I didn’t totally agree with, such as their opinion on different nations leader’s and how they are handling it.

I believe I am an upholder when it comes to motivation. I get motivation from completing something, and I like making schedules, which most times don’t always go as planned. In this class I will find motivation through my want to succeed in life and my wife, Alysia. My wife means the world to me and she motivates me to better myself everyday.

I cope with stress by working out and driving. I’ve always loved working out. I love the feeling you get after a great workout, and when I’m working out I only think about that so it clears my head very well. When I drive to work or go on drives up to Mount Lemmon, I always feel so refreshed. Going for a relaxing drive always helps clear my head also.

In the article “Popeyes chicken sandwich is sold out nationwide after demand soars” explains that Popeyes sold out its special new sandwich weeks after being released. Recently Popeyes came out with a new chicken sandwich, which according to the authors, gained huge popularity after a twitter battle between Chick-fil-A and Popeyes. After selling out the new sandwich in just two weeks after its release, Popeyes said it sold the whole stock that was suppose to last until the end of September. They also didn’t release a time of when the sandwich would return.

I believe keeping a class blog might be a good thing for me. I am not the best at Writing and English, so having other people see my work and be able to critique it should be a good thing. Also I’m not the most outgoing person and a blog is exactly that, outgoing. All in all, I don’t see anything bad about keeping a blog so it must be good.
